What is this blog for ? Well, this <\/span>redhead <\/span>with a brain has seen, read and listened to so many things that she is getting confused. I have friends who say: “Do you remember that gig in 2006 ?” I am sure that I was there but can’t remember anything about it. So, this blog is going to be the repository of my cultural experiences. <\/span><\/p>\n

What about the language of this blog ? In Italian they say “<\/span>Traduttore, traditore”<\/em>\n meaning “translator, betrayer”. So, this blog will be at least bilingual. If the experience is in English, well, the post will be in English; if it’s in French, then the post will be in French. Not sure yet what I will do with the\n Italian and German operas. I will cross that bridge when I get there. Other languages will definitely have to be translated. <\/span>\n <\/p>\n

I have a few rules. I will always read a book or watch a film in the original version. Also, I read the book before watching the film and I like to do both (just to be able to say that the book is better !), but there will always be exceptions to these rules. <\/span><\/p>\n

I also love series, collections, themes, challenges. I like to pick an author and read everything they have published or pick a director and watch all of their films. I like book challenges that make me read authors I wouldn’t pick up on my own and random propositions of cultural experiences like the Guardian’s “Feed Your Soul” or the “Top 10 books about” series (e.g. adultery, shame, Florence, \u2026) from the same source. So, you will find a few of those too.<\/span><\/p>\n

A last word about the comments in the posts. These comments are really in-the-moment reactions, a reflection of what felt good at the time of writing and how I was affected by the experience, guided by an emotional part of my brain that, to my great regret, takes a lot of space. So, it can include my sadness, my joy, my grief, my love. It’s just the way it is.<\/span>\n <\/span>\n <\/p>\n

Pourquoi ce blog ? Eh bien, cette rouquine dot\u00e9e d’un cerveau a vu, lu et \u00e9cout\u00e9 tellement de choses qu’elle en devient confuse. J’ai des amis qui disent : “Tu te souviens de ce concert en 2006 ?” Je suis s\u00fbre que j’y \u00e9tais, mais je ne me souviens de rien. Ce blog va donc \u00eatre le d\u00e9positaire de mes exp\u00e9riences culturelles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Qu’en est-il de la langue de ce blog ? En italien, on dit <\/span>“Traduttore, traditore”<\/em>, ce qui signifie “traducteur, tra\u00eetre”. Donc, ce blog sera au moins bilingue. Si l’exp\u00e9rience est en anglais, et bien, le billet sera en anglais ; si elle est en fran\u00e7ais, alors le billet sera en fran\u00e7ais. Je ne sais pas encore ce que je ferai des op\u00e9ras italien et allemand. Je franchirai ce pont quand j’y arriverai. D’autres langues devront certainement \u00eatre traduites.<\/span><\/p>\n

J’ai quelques r\u00e8gles. Je lis un livre ou regarde un film en version originale. De plus, je lis le livre avant de regarder le film et j’aime bien faire les deux (juste pour pouvoir dire que le livre est bien mieux !), mais il y aura toujours des exceptions \u00e0 ces r\u00e8gles.<\/span><\/p>\n

J’aime aussi les s\u00e9ries, les collections, les th\u00e8mes, les d\u00e9fis. J’aime choisir un auteur et lire tout ce qu’il\/elle a publi\u00e9 ou choisir un\u00b7e r\u00e9alisateur\u00b7rice et regarder tous ses films. J’aime les d\u00e9fis qui me font lire des auteur\u00b7rice\u00b7s que je ne choisirais pas moi-m\u00eame et les propositions al\u00e9atoires d’exp\u00e9riences culturelles comme la s\u00e9rie “Feed Your Soul” du Guardian ou le “Top 10 books about” (par exemple, l’adult\u00e8re, la honte, Florence, …) de la m\u00eame source. Vous en trouverez donc quelques-unes aussi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Un dernier mot sur les commentaires dans les posts. Ces commentaires sont mes r\u00e9actions du jour, un reflet de ce qui m’a sembl\u00e9 juste au moment de l’\u00e9criture et de la fa\u00e7on dont j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9e par l’exp\u00e9rience, guid\u00e9e par la partie \u00e9motionnelle de mon cerveau qui, \u00e0 mon grand regret, prend beaucoup de place. Un commentaire peut donc renfermer ma tristesse, ma joie, mon deuil, mon amour. C’est comme \u00e7a.<\/span><\/p>\n
