Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday are not quite cowboys. Their town, Long Grass, is neither quite Kansas nor quite New Mexico. There are a few Indians, a few buffalo, and a few women, of virtue or otherwise. They travel with their saloon signs, hoping for a better life elsewhere. Some of their friends die. Nothing else happens. I suppose this book is a parody of a Wild West story, but I was unable to see any humour or perhaps irony in it and ended up bored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;He liked her so much that he asked her about that famous local sign &#8211; the man with a twelve-inch member gets to visit free. Doc had always figured the twelve inches was just a joke, but when he brought it up with Edna she giggled and looked coy.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everything in this book is &#8220;not quite&#8221;.
