Premier jour de visite de cette Biennale 2024 consacr\u00e9 aux \u0153uvres expos\u00e9es \u00e0 l’Arsenal, ce superbe b\u00e2timent industriel qui met en valeur les \u0153uvres par contraste avec son d\u00e9nuement. Le b\u00e2timent mesure 317 m\u00e8tres de long, 21 m\u00e8tres de large et 12,10 m\u00e8tres de haut. Grand. Cent trente-sept artistes y sont expos\u00e9s. Quelques \u0153uvres qui m’ont marqu\u00e9 : L’exposition commence par une \u0153uvre d’un collectif maori de quatre artistes femmes, le Mataaho Collective, qui pr\u00e9sente Takapau, une installation en polyester, boucles et crochets en acier, repr\u00e9sentant un tapis tiss\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 lors de naissances. J’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tonn\u00e9e par la diversit\u00e9 des usages du tissu dans cette exposition : des tableaux cousus, des \u0153uvres tiss\u00e9es, des tissus teints ressemblant \u00e0 des cyanotypes, et particuli\u00e8rement les batiks de S\u00e0ng\u00f3d\u00e1re Gb\u00e1d\u00e9gesin \u00c0j\u00e0l\u00e1. Il y avait beaucoup d’\u0153uvres vid\u00e9os que je me suis appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 regarder, avec de belles d\u00e9couvertes aussi. \u00c0 la sortie du grand b\u00e2timent, nous avons pu voir les pavillons de vingt-trois pays et des \u0153uvres ext\u00e9rieures, ainsi que des vid\u00e9os de douze artistes. J’ai particuli\u00e8rement aim\u00e9 celle de Kang Seung Lee. Une magnifique journ\u00e9e, la t\u00eate pleine de beaut\u00e9 et de couleurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the\u00a0American Heritage<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Oxford Dictionaries<\/em>, the first meaning of the word \u201cqueer\u201d is precisely \u201cstrange\u201d, and thus the Exhibition unfolds and focuses on the production of other related subjects:\u00a0the queer artist<\/strong>, who has moved within different sexualities and genders, often being persecuted or outlawed;\u00a0the outsider artist<\/strong>, who is located at the margins of the art world, much like the self-taught artist,\u00a0the folk artist<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0artista popular<\/em>;\u00a0the indigenous artist<\/strong>, frequently treated as a foreigner in his or her own land.
