A quirky little book filled with unusual and delightfully British maps. From weird place names and shipwreck sites to the longest pier, the oldest pubs, and oldest trees – including the\u00a0Fortingall Yew, estimated to be somewhere between 2,000 and 9,000 years old \u2014 every page is packed with charming trivia. My personal favourites were the maps about scone pronunciation and Favorite crisp flavour, though I also found myself starry-eyed looking at the longest walking routes – I\u2019d love to do some of those hikes one day. A very cute little book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDespite the UK’s mizzly image, we are actually only the 74th rainiest country in the world. Fiji, Granada and the Seychelles all trump us when it comes to rainfall, but you never hear of anyone mocking their weather.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
