This film is about revenge, about reclaiming what has been taken from you, and about how far that desire for revenge can go. Sweeney Todd returns to London after being wrongly convicted and sent away, only to discover that the judge who condemned him has taken his wife and child. Determined to make him pay, Sweeney embarks on a brutal quest for revenge \u2014 and along the way, quite a few other people will pay the price too. Tim Burton\u2019s film has an impressive line-up of stars, with Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Timothy Spall, not to mention Sacha Baron Cohen, whom I absolutely love in his short but hilarious role as Adolfo Pirelli. The story is horrific, but there is also something wonderfully satirical about it. The combination of dark humour, horror and music makes for a rather unusual and fascinating film. It has even been considered one of the great musical films of the 21st century. I really love this film. It is dark, macabre, funny and beautifully twisted – very much a Tim Burton creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
