Contrary to what the earl planned, the young boy, Lord Fauntleroy, is a very well-educated child. He will slowly show his grandfather that he, in fact, has responsibilities regarding those that depend on him and that showing compassion is not a weakness but a strength. &#8220;Noblesse oblige&#8221;. A slight twist in the middle of the story to prevent boredom and a predictable fairy tale ending but a lovely children&#8217;s book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cTo see each of his ugly, selfish motives changed into a good and generous one by the simplicity of a child was a singular experience.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a charming story.
