He discovers the city&#8217;s history through an old man and, in the end, also revelations about his family tree. The town&#8217;s description that reeks of old fish and the inhabitants that seem all slimy and green-greyish as they get older is a bit creepy. I wouldn&#8217;t want to visit the place.
