If I refer back to the post on the <a href=\"https:\/\/redheadwithabrain.ch\/index.php\/2021\/01\/01\/books-of-2020\/\">books of 2020<\/a>, I think I have to answer that, yes, for this year, 200 was an expression of something&#8230; of despair, sadness, solitude, hopelessness and pain. But a year that ended on joy, love and healing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyway, which books stand out from the crowd ? Very difficult because I rated 31 books at five stars, the maximum on LibraryThing and Babelio. I will pick three: <a href=\"https:\/\/redheadwithabrain.ch\/index.php\/2021\/10\/05\/intimacies-katie-kitamura-2021\/\">Intimacies<\/a> by Katie Kitamura, <a href=\"https:\/\/redheadwithabrain.ch\/index.php\/2021\/06\/11\/open-water-caleb-azumah-nelson-2021\/\">Open Water<\/a> by Caleb Azumah Nelson and <a href=\"http:\/\/I rated 31 books as five stars, the maximum on LibraryThing and Babelio\">Promises<\/a> by Yuval Robichek.
