Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (1859 – 1930) was a British writer and physician. He created the well-known Sherlock Holmes, and his stories are considered the milestones of crime fiction. Conan Doyle wrote other novels and short stories, but I would like to concentrate on what is considered as the canon of Sherlock Holmes, four novels and fifty-six short stories, collected in five books. The term ” canon” is an attempt to distinguish between Doyle’s original works and subsequent works by other authors using the same characters. I bought this canon in one huge single book.
