I had always done linocut on this typical grey material with old tools. Imposed at school and so challenging to come up with something nice. This book goes through every step. A thorough chapter on materials, exercises to start, techniques for multicoloured projects, experimental printmaking and, at the end of the book, even a page on regular practice and finding motivation. Sam has reconciled me with linocut to the point where it has nearly become an obsession. Thank you, Sam. I am enjoying this so much.

“I love this quote from Andy Warhol (I have it printed out on the wall in my studio): “Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”
