This is a small Domestika course about block printing. Block printing versus linocut ? Not obvious for me were the border lies. Wies van der Velde, the illustrator that gives this course, takes us through every step of block printing, the tools, the ink pads, how she conceives her projects and the realisation of an illustration. I love her style, soft and colourful. As with every course, I learnt new ways of working with carving tools, linoleum and inks, knowledge that is slowly adding up. A very nice course.
“For bigger projects such as A3 or bigger A4s, I really like to use the liquid ink that comes in a tube. But for this project we will be using only the ink pads. As I said before, the ink pads are great for small and detailed projects.”
