I read this classic story when I was young. It tells the tale of a group of rabbits who decide to seek a better life elsewhere. Their journey is dangerous and several of their number are lost, but thanks to their courage and resilience, they are able to settle down in a friendly environment. This graphic novel is a shortened version of the original, which was quite a big book, but the story’s essence remains, and the illustrations are beautiful. It is a very touching tale of survival that can easily be translated to the human experience.

“- Do you suppose the man puts the food out like that because he has a kind heart ?
– Who knows why men do anything.”
