Five years after the events of the first film, Bricksburg has become a wasteland following an alien invasion. While his friends are taken by forces from the Systar System, Emmet stays optimistic. Setting off to rescue them, he meets the mysterious Rex Dangervest and discovers that the conflict reflects a sibling rivalry in the real world. This sequel is both funny and imaginative. I love the wordplays, especially the “Systar System” and the “Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi”. It also features a song called “Catchy Song”, with the lyrics, “This song’s gonna get stuck inside your, this song’s gonna get stuck inside your, this song’s gonna get stuck inside your… head !” You can imagine what happens. Lego movies? I am a big fan.
