House goes to prison for what he did, and the first episodes of this season revolve around his time there and his meeting with Dr. Jessica Adams, who will eventually become part of his team. He is eventually released with the help of Foreman, now the new Dean of Medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro. With Cuddy gone, House has to rebuild his diagnostic team. Chase and Taub return, Thirteen leaves for good, and two new doctors join: Jessica Adams and Chi Park, a cute and wonderfully bizarre character. Alongside the complex medical cases, this season focuses on House and Wilson’s friendship. Wilson is diagnosed with what appears to be incurable cancer, putting their bond to the test and exploring what it truly means to care for someone. House finally realises what matters most in life – not his career, his reputation, or even his own freedom. A very touching finale to a great series, all the way through.
“Wilson: He’s not my child. I cannot be responsible for the happiness of Gregory House.
Foreman: You are responsible. The past 20 years, you’ve had three wives, hundreds of colleagues, thousands of patients. But you’ve kept that one best friend. Chemo won’t make your life any better, but caring will. Enduring pain to do some good for someone you care about – isn’t that what life is?“
