Two discoveries here. First, the NPR Music Tiny Desk Concerts… “Intimate video performances recorded live at the desk.” Mini-concerts that started years ago, even before we had to listen to live concerts online. Incredible. Then Saul Williams performs three of his songs, “Burundi”, “Think like they book say” dedicated to Chelsea Manning, and “Down for some ignorance”. Amazing how words and sound can convey so much even just played from the artist’s lounge.
“I’m a candle.
I’m a candle.
Chop my neck a million times
I still burn bright and stand, yo.”
