Four women become friends by selling lingerie and sex toys at private women-only parties. The parties are the main storline but allow to highlight life in rural England in the 80s. Relationships with husbands and mothers, poverty, secrets and lies, the fight against preconcieved ideas of women’s place in society. The series is loosely inspired by a book called “Good Vibrations”, which is also the name of the series in the French version, the story of the beginning of Ann Summers. The episodes are funny and sad at the same time, a really good evening entertainement.
