Po reunites with his long-lost father and discovers a secluded panda village filled with his kind. However, their joy is short-lived, as a powerful villain named Kai returns from the realm of spirits to steal the chi of all kung fu masters. Po must rapidly become a chi master to defeat Kai. Throughout the journey, Po acquires a greater understanding of himself, his heritage, and the true significance of belonging to a family.
