Back to Hogwarts, Harry discovers a mysterious potions’ textbook labelled as belonging to the “Half-Blood Prince”, a mysterious previous owner. For the first time, romantic tensions rise as Harry, Ron, and Hermione deal with growing feelings for others. Meanwhile, Dumbledore begins showing Harry memories that reveal Voldemort’s past, particularly the creation of Horcruxes – magical objects that hold parts of his soul, making him immortal, and that will have to be destroyed to defeat him. The film ends with the death of Dumbledore, threatened by Malfoy but finally killed by Snape. A sad, sad episode that made me shed a few tears.
