For his 50th birthday, Jason decided to walk the Camino de Santiago, from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Cape Finisterre, on the Atlantic Ocean, a little further than Santiago de Compostela. The aim seems to be to become more open, to be able to create bonds with others. He will successfully walk the 800 km, with a few blisters and bedbugs, and several more or less satisfying encounters, to end up with his feet in the water. A cute story that, I predict, would be very similar for me. The joy of walking and being in nature, the anxiety of having to bond with people I don’t know.

“I am more and more convinced that the Camino is really all about a good café con leche. Finding a café after having walked after having walked in the darkness, taking the cup between your cold fingers, and then taking the first sip.”
