Min and Bea are two very close but very different sisters. Min is messy and talkative, while Bea is very neat and discreet. But one day Min realises she can’t speak properly any more, she has a stammer, a monster on her shoulder that eats words. She is so horrified that she simply stops talking. With the help of her sister and friends, she learns to accept her stammer and to understand that others have problems to deal with. A sweet story about life’s challenges and acceptance. Also beautifully illustrated.
“Your stammer might well have done things for you without you noticing. It may have opened your eyes to many aspects of life you’d never before considered. Struggles of our own can make us aware of what other people go through. You suffering with your stammer might well have given you the power of empathy – the ability to see when others have troubles. And that’s not nothing.”
