Loosely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s 1844 fairy tale “The Snow Queen”, this is the story of two sisters, one gifted or cursed with the power to turn everything into ice, the other naive and searching for true love. Then we meet a Prince Charming who turns out not to be so charming, and an Iceman who is described by his troll friends as a fixer-upper with a few flaws. Here are all the ingredients for a sweet and touching Walt Disney film. I am and will always be a good audience for these films.
