The series begins with Jamie Miller being arrested early one morning at his home on suspicion of murdering his classmate Katie Leonard. The four episodes follow Jamie’s interrogation at the police station, a visit to his school by two police officers, Jamie’s session with a psychiatrist and finally the everyday life of his parents. The series explores male violence against women and what can lead to it, including abuse from other classmates and the influence of public figures on ‘male rage’. The series is impressive in that it is shot in one take, a real technical achievement, especially when you are aware of this when watching the film. The emotions, from anger and aggressiveness to sadness and disbelief, are played incredibly well. A very interesting series, well set in today’s atmosphere.

“Eighty percent of women are attracted to twenty percent of men. You must trick them because you’ll never get them in a normal way.”
