Jenna Rink is a shy and insecure thirteen-year-old living in 1980s America. After an embarrassing birthday party, she wishes to be ‘thirty, flirty and thriving’. And her wish comes true. Initially, adult Jenna enjoys her glamorous life as editor-in-chief of a successful magazine. However, she soon realises that in becoming popular, she has lost her kindness, and has drifted away from her family, and especially from her best friend Matt. She wonders whether she will get another chance to reshape her life. This film is the perfect romcom for a Saturday evening – it’s really cute! I am the perfect audience for this kind of film, and I really liked it.
