This first season lays the foundations of the series. We are introduced to Dr. Gregory House, a brilliant but abrasive diagnostician, his team of three talented doctors, his closest friend Dr. James Wilson, and the hospital dean – and occasional ally – Dr. Lisa Cuddy. Each episode revolves around a medical mystery involving a patient misdiagnosed elsewhere, solved through sharp reasoning, risky methods, and House’s deep mistrust of patients’ honesty. As the season unfolds, we begin to understand House’s past and the origins of his physical and psychological damage. I love this series, which I attempted to watch in 2024 but only managed to get through Season one. Hopefully, I’ll be more persistent this time.

“- So what do we do ?
– We wait.
– For what ?
– Something to change. It’s one of the great tragedies of life, that something always…, that something always changes.”
