After disappearing into the Underworld, Persephone is finally found by Hades in a worrying state, almost as if she has slipped into hibernation. With the help of Hecate—and the strength of his love for her—Hades manages to bring her back. Persephone then opens up about what happened to her in the past and explains the reasons behind her actions, allowing the two of them to grow even closer. Hades becomes determined to protect her from his brother Zeus and gives her refuge in the Underworld. There are also some lighter moments, including a shopping trip for Hades and Persephone, as well as the hilarious explanation for shooting stars: apparently, they are the result of Hades playing golf with shiny rocks! Meanwhile, the gods of Olympus hold a sort of divine Zoom meeting to decide what should be done with Persephone. As for the mythology, this volume starts talking about Kronos and finally brings Minthe’s story to its rather literal conclusion: she becomes… mint. Very entertaining, with plenty of humour and twists. The mythology is sometimes considerably reworked, but the series remains full of fascinating details and little bits of information about the original myths.
