London, the Novello Theatre and the famous jukebox musical Mamma Mia. There’s no need to summarise the story, cleverly constructed around the songs of ABBA – it’s the same plot as the film we all know, and everyone knows the songs – but this show was quite simply exceptional. The lyrics are funny, the actors carry the spirit of the story with excellence, and the set is simple and effective. We were asked not to sing during the show, but that was too difficult. At the end, a salute to the audience and then… four more songs with the whole theatre on its feet, dancing and singing along with the actors. A charming theatre where you can also sit in your seat with a glass of champagne. A wonderful evening.

“Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won’t somebody help me chase the shadows away?
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day”
