Already seen in 2024, this film – framed as a documentary about a stage play and the lives of its actors—is unmistakably Wes Anderson. It features his signature aesthetic: composed visuals, vibrant colours, and dry, understated humour, all wrapped in a narrative that can be difficult to follow. On a second viewing, it proves more enjoyable. Freed from trying to untangle its shifting layers of reality, you can simply let the story carry you. A quietly playful and entertaining experience.
