Wrong Cops follows a group of deeply corrupt and incompetent police officers in sunny Los Angeles. Officer Duke spends his days selling drugs hidden inside dead rats, bullying citizens, and pursuing bizarre personal schemes. His equally dysfunctional colleagues find themselves caught up in increasingly surreal situations involving blackmail, obsessive music production, accidental shootings, and random acts of cruelty. As their schemes spiral out of control, the film abandons conventional storytelling in favour of surreal, dark comedy to create a satirical portrait of authority that, despite being intended as hilarious, is unsettling. It’s typical Quentin Dupieux style, but I found it really quite difficult to watch. It’s just too absurd and deranged.
