Based on the character of Wednesday Addams, from the famous Addams Family, this series starts with Wednesday being expelled from her school for having dropped piranhas in the boys swimming pool. Her parents decide to send her to Nevermore, a school for outcasts. Wednesday will be caught in several adventures, the main one being that a monster, a hyde, is killing people in the woods. Wednesday accuses nearly everyone one after the other but finally is able to reveal the real culprits. There is a very strong vibe of Harry Potter in this series, the school in an old manor, ambivalent teachers, difficulties in spotting the good and bad guys, sirens, werewolves, and magicians. Nevertheless, the dialogues are witty and funny with the cruel touch of the Addams Family. Special mention to Wednesday and to her friend Enid Sinclair.
