Buster Moon is a happy theatre owner, making musical comedies with his group. The shows are always sold out in their little city, but they would like to perform in the theatre of the big nearby city. They are not selected by Suki Lane, a talent scout, but succeed in slipping into Crystal Entertainments for an audition. They meet entertainment mogul Jimmy Crystal, who accepts hiring them if they can get Clay Calloway on board. Calloway is a rock star lion who has not been seen in 15 years, but Moon pretends to know him. So starts the challenge to build a show from nothing and find Calloway. Moon escapes death from Crystal several times, but all will end in happiness. Friendship, perseverance and joy. And Bono in the looks of an old white-maned aged lion singing “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”. Cute.

“- We’ll all feel better when we’re safe at home
– You sure about that ? ‘Cause I can tell you, running and hiding away is not all that it’s cracked up to be.
– Well, we don’t have a choice
– Yeah, well, all these years, I thought the same, but turns out, there’s always a choice. Just never had the guts to make the right one.”
