Rosemary died a year ago by killing herself at a party dinner for her birthday, suicide by cyanide poisoning. A year later, her husband George reunites the guests of the party in the same restaurant. He suspects that Rosemary’s death was a murder and plans to confront everyone that could have had the opportunity to kill her the year before. But he is then himself poisoned. Iris Rosemary’s sister and her boyfriend will finally find the culprit. A nice short whodunit.

“What damned silly things one said when one was in love! They hadn’t seemed fatuous at the time, but to have them hashed up in cold blood! Why couldn’t women let things decently alone? A man didn’t want to be continually reminded what an ass he’d made of himself.”
