Hyde Park is London’s largest park, a royal park stretching from Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens and even beyond Buckingham Palace. It covers 140 hectares. A real green lung in the middle of the city. It is magnificent with its trees, paths, Serpentine and Long Water lakes. People stroll around, young and old, running and sitting everywhere. There are lots of dogs and squirrels. But there’s something special about Hyde Park… There are little green parrots in the park that are very friendly and will come and eat nuts or seeds out of your hand. I’d go every time just for those little moments with these feathered guys. A little touch of nature.

“It came to me that Hyde Park has never belonged to London – that it has always been, in spirit, a stretch of countryside; and that it links the Londons of all periods together most magically – by remaining forever unchanged at the heart of an ever-changing town.” (I capture the castle. Dodie Smith. 1949)
