FBI agents have been sent to spy on the Japanese National Police Agency (NPA) because there appears to be a mole in the forces. Light, as the son of the head of the police, is followed by one of these agents. Light as to find his name and the names of the other agents to be able to kill him. Thanks to a carefully designed strategy, he succeeds. Meanwhile, most NPA agents resign from the investigation, and the small remaining group meets with L in person. The plot is quite gripping and well-thought-out. Nice to read.
