Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Board on Judicial Conduct, an agency that deals with judicial misconduct. She is approached by a man who claims that a judge is deeply corrupt — far beyond the scope of typical bribery. The judge is allegedly involved with a criminal network that is building a casino on Native American land and generating massive illegal profits. As Lacy and her partner investigate further, they unearth a dangerous conspiracy involving organised crime, which puts their lives at risk. This is a very interesting thriller, nicely written with endearing and well-developed characters, and with excellent suspense. I was never sure how things were going to develop. I’m very glad I discovered this author.

“Native American is a politically correct creation of clueless white people who feel better using it, when in reality the Native Americans refer to themselves as Indians and snicker at those of us who don’t.”
