A story about how your life can fall apart in two seconds. When Zikora tells her loved one that she is pregnant, he disappears instantly from her life. She will have to go through pregnancy on her own, dodging the innuendos at work and then through delivery with her mother there all the time, also implying that she should be more dignified, more stoic. This forces Zikora to reflect on being a daughter and being a mother and what she wants for herself and her baby. A touching story even if I felt that it ended slightly abruptly.

“Stop reading his texts”, Mmiliaku told me on FaceTime. “You’ll start questioning everything, and wondering if any of it was real.”
“Yes,” I said, but I didn’t question whether it was real, because I knew it was. I questioned where it had gone. How could emotions just change ? Where did it go, the thing that used to be ?”
