Lyra is a little girl without parents that has grown up in Jordan College, quite free to live her life as she pleases, running around Oxford with her daemon Pantalaimon and her friends, especially Roger. But one evening, she is eavesdropping and hears Lord Asriel talk about “The Dust”. And then Roger disappears. Lyra will leave on a quest to find her friend and try to understand what the Oblation Board are doing to children and what this “Dust” is all about. A fantasy book with several plot turns and loads of magic. Readable by any age.
