Harry “Rabbit” Angstrom is this 26 years old young man that just runs through this life. He runs away from his pregnant wife and from his job as a MagiPeeler salesman. He settles down with Ruth, an ex-prostitute but then runs away when his wife gives birth to his daughter. Is he going to settle ? No. He runs away again from his wife that then accidentally drowns their daughter because she is drunk, he runs away from the funeral of his child and finally from Ruth that is now pregnant. All through these months, he is in contact with this episcopal priest trying to get him back home to his marriage. A sad story of a man that is lost in his life and drowned in his selfishness, hurting everyone around him.
